I tried to start it for my husband, but It made him hungry too soon. He quit after one meal because even though the food was very tasty, he was not commited to the change and blamed me for not altering my cooking to suit his needs.
I taped a show about a man that was 1230lbs.. seriously! And he asked for help worldwide and his choices were down to stomach stapling (the the equivalent) or the Zone diet. He picked the Zone. And they showed how in one year, he got down to 8xx lbs. He was thrilled. The Zone works, but it’s something you have to commit to. Congrats that you’ve been doing it for 3 weeks.

I’ve been on the Zone diet for 10 years now. There was definitely an adjustment period when I felt weakened, but I stuck with it and also experienced an enhanced feeling of well-being that has persisted.
I was not particularly overweight at the time I started it, but I lost about a pound a week for six months, finally stabilizing at about the weight I was at high school graduation.
I started on the diet because of concerns about my cholesterol. Earlier attempts to follow a strict low-fat diet had actually made my numbers worse. After being on the Zone diet for a year, my total cholesterol dropped from 250 to 175, with HDLs up, LDLs and triglycerides down, and all the ratios in the right places. I just had a cholesterol test recently, and my total cholesterol came in at 155.
It may not be the right diet for everybody, but it definitely worked for me.

No
This is what I do
A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch
Keep to a 1,200 food intake
Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) …and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn’t seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.
I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127
