Can someone give me details for the South Beach Diet?

Since i’ve been advised not to go with the Atkins diet, can someone please give me details of the South Beach diet? I’ve never heard of it before! Can you tell me what i can eat and how quickly I can see the effects?

    it’s very similar to the atkins diet, but not as carb restricted. they have a website…google it.

    South Beach Diet is very similar to Atkins diet in a way, at least in the two fist weeks. It consists of three phases of which the first one last about two or three weeks. During that period you can eat only meat of any kind, some sorts of dairy (high fat cheeses) and lots of vegetables. Second phase is the phase where you’ll reintroduce whole wheat breads, healthy cereal and some fruits. The third phase is the phase that is intended to last forever in order to maintain good health and to keep the excess weight off.

    basically you allow GOOD carbs such as fruits and whole grains…

    honestly…

    if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food…Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.

    1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day

    2.) drink lots of water

    3.)exercise every day

    4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep.
